Policy #1: Hazard identification and the assessment of OH&S risks
Control of hazards must begin with the identification of all areas or situations where harm or illness can occur, and an evaluation of the degree of risk. Systematically identifying the level of OH&S risks of all processes and tasks within an organisation will lead to the most effective controls.
Manage OH&S hazards by identifying and then evaluating whether the risk can be controlled to satisfy legal requirements to which the organisation subscribes. Set OH&S objectives and targets with employees and external parties.
